We may not be able to control what happens to us, but we can work to alter the lasting impact. As cofounder/director of Peregrine Counseling and Wellness, I aim to promote the wellbeing of others, regardless of the obstacles along the journey. As a therapist, I listen to the needs of each client then work to impart helpful skills through custom treatment plans and a positive therapeutic relationship. I work with all age groups presenting a variety of concerns, but specialize in children and adolescents.
I graduated in 2007 from Colorado State University with a BS in Psychology. After working in direct care at a residential treatment facility for teenage girls, I continued my education and attained a MS in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2015; my experience continued into home-based therapy and a child trauma program at Children's Hospital before transitioning into private practice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor as well as a National Board Certified Counselor. I am EMDR Level II trained in addition to child-parent psychotherapy, maternal mental health, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
