I believe in the transformative power of a wide range of emotions, the sanctuary of safety, and the simple but profound impact of understanding. My therapeutic approach to our time together is founded on the principle that each person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to guide and facilitate the process of discovery.
I value embracing emotions as the compass of our inner world. Rather than suppressing or dismissing them, I encourage clients to embrace and explore their feelings. Emotions are not merely reactions; they are valuable messengers that carry vital information about our needs, desires, and concerns. Creating a safe and non-judgmental space is paramount in my work with you. I understand that vulnerability is the cornerstone of growth, and it can only flourish in an environment where one feels secure. With empathy and compassion, I work to foster a therapeutic alliance that encourages openness and trust. Through active listening and genuine curiosity, I help clients unravel the layers of their experiences. I believe in the power of understanding as a catalyst for change, guiding individuals to explore their narratives and make meaning from their unique life stories.
Together we can identify what isn’t working, make steps towards positive change, and explore the inner world without shame or blame, because all parts of you are always welcome.
I specialize in queer/LGBTQ experiences, trauma, relationships, major life changes, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and disordered eating, and grief. I take a person centered, strengths-based approach and draw from multiple modalities including CBT, DBT, IFS, and somatics. I am a HAES provider and acknowledge the impact that the current systems have on functioning, especially for those with marginalized identities and who are neurodivergent.
