Hi! I’m Robin. I am a graduate student in Capella University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I decided to enter into the counseling field professionally because I love collaborating with individuals, couples, and families to help them build lives they love. My counseling philosophy is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and the belief that every individual is whole and has the capacity for growth and healing. Using a person-centered approach, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and move toward a more connected and centered life.

Professionally, I bring over 25 years of experience as a teacher, librarian, and technology specialist. My academic background includes a BA in Communication Studies from Loyola Chicago/Rome, a Graduate Certificate in School Librarianship, and an MA in Educational Technology Leadership. I am ACC-certified with the International Coaching Federation, and I’ve worked as a certified family recovery life coach for people who love someone with substance use and mental health challenges.

My lived experience has deeply shaped my understanding of resilience, mental health, and trauma. The mental health challenges I’ve encountered include substance use, schizoaffective disorder, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, major depression, borderline personality, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and hoarding. These experiences have given me unique insights and compassion, inspiring my commitment to supporting others in healing their relationships with others as well as themselves.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your journey, I’m here to walk alongside you. Let’s work together to create the life you desire.
